The book is a translated version of MiRA-Senterets previous book: «Barnevern i et mangfoldig samfunn».

The book is based on experiences and knowledge brought in by MiRA-Center’s longtime work with the theme and our project-based work where both minority-women and child welfare workers have shared their perspectives through dialogue-meetings, courses and group-discussions.

The books emphasis is to put fokus on the challenges that arise in the meeting between child welfare and minority-families and discusses how a minority-perspective can be integrated in the work and practice of the child-welfare services.
