Freedom from Condemning Glances!

Racialised women claim their rights in the public spaces

How should we dress, behave, or even just be ourselves in public spaces has become an issue for public debate. In today’s Norway, women with racialized minority backgrounds face the so-called moral police and prejudices from several quarters. MiRA Resource Center reacts strongly to the hidden forms of social control and gender discrimination. In connection with March 8, International Women’s Day, we demand freedom from the judgemental gaze and sexual harassment of racialized minority women and young girls in the public arena. The MiRA center urges you to join our event and promote women’s freedom of movement.

Eastern morals or Western morals – We say no to the double standards!
