Young girls are the future of the community. This is how the MiRA Center also views the young minority girls. Together with this group and their commitment, the Center develops towards a future and a society that minorities themselves help to define.
The conditions for growing up vary greatly, but what we all have in common is that we live in a society with the existence of predefined frameworks. Frameworks that set guidelines for our lives. It is these frameworks that we at the center are actively working to reshape and redefine, as well as create new conditions that can lead to the enrichment of our lives and our future.
Are you a young girl, or do you work with young girls?
The MiRA Center has extensive experience in work related to issues concerning young girls and this group’s everyday life. Questions that include i.a. identity, family, friends, own body and health, education, and work, are all topics the center works directly with. The MiRA Center is also available to people and institutions that work directly with minority girls. If you have any questions or would like to consult with someone regarding your work with minority girls, you are also welcome to contact us. We remind all our users that the MiRA Center’s employees have a duty of confidentiality.
About the young girls group” Let me talk”
The MiRA Center has a network group for young girls where the goal is to offer young minority girls a place where they can define their own reality, and participate in activities according to desire and interest. The group consists of minority girls with different backgrounds aged 13–26 years. The MiRA Center is concerned that girls should focus on and learn to use their voice in contexts that may otherwise be unfamiliar. That is why we also arrange “Take the floor” courses where we work with self-confidence and ways of expression. This is for the benefit of pupils, students and those who want to use their voice in all types of congregations.
We also arrange many other types of activities. Please contact us if you are interested and want to know more how you can be engaged.
